The Singularity

Space, the final frontier.
From the moment we first looked upon the night sky and were dazzled by its beauty and vastness, humans have dreamed of traveling to those distant stars. It is this desire to explore that has carried us to the moon and beyond.
But what do you see when you look upon the night sky? Do you see a place where humanity can flourish? Or do you see a cold, unforgiving void that will swallow us whole if we're not careful?
I see both. I think about how close we are to truly exploring space—and about how far away it seems sometimes. I think about what it would be like to stand on another planet—one we've made our own in some small way—and gaze up at our home from there. And then I think about how hard it would be to get back there if something went wrong… and how easy it would be for something to go wrong in space anyway…
And then I think about all that potential waiting out there for us: the possibilities of life on other planets, new technological advances that will allow us to travel farther than ever before, new discoveries that could change everything we know about ourselves as humans…
